iPad - Newton the 2nd

The iPad is lame, like the Newton before it, it’s a device that tries to do everything ands succeeds at doing nothing. It’s not a phone, it’s not a laptop, it’s not a video camera, it’s not a camera, and it’s not an eReader. It’s got the computing power of my phone with a netbook screen and costs $800, basicly it’s a neat thing to use to surf the web on your couch if you have more money than you know what to do with. Silicon Valley is just jerking itself off with the hype around the iPad.

For $800, I’d rather buy a Kindle (with free cellular internet) or Nook for $260, a netbook for $300, and an iPhone or Droid for $200. Jailbreak/root the phone for tethering and now you have an awesome phone, a good camera, a good video camera, cellular 3G internet on a netbook, and an awesome eReader.
